We collect information about you when you register with us or make an enquiry for our products and services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you in order to process your holiday booking and to ensure your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements. This will require us to pass the information on to relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels and transport companies and we will email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. 

The data we collect will also be used to manage your account, personalise your use of the website and, if you agree, to contact you for marketing purposes about our services that we think may be of interest to you. 

Agreeing to our privacy policy allows us to use your personal information so that we can offer you the best and most relevant products and services.

We endeavour to take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data. D&G Travel of Marlow will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other companies.

As a travel agent, when processing your holiday booking, we may be required to provide your details to, security or credit checking companies, financial institutions, public authorities such as customs, border control and immigration, if required by them or as required by law.

Personal data will not be transferred to a country outside the EEA unless (1)The country to which it is transferred is one which the European Commission considers to provide an adequate level of data protection or (2) The personal data is transferred to a United States company which has signed up to the Privacy Shield or (3) The personal data is transferred to a company which is required by our contract with them only to deal with the data in accordance with our instructions and to maintain appropriate security to protect the personal data which we are satisfied they have or (4) We are obliged to provide the personal data to a government / public authority in order to provide your holiday. We will not, however, pass any information on to any person who is not responsible for part of your travel arrangements unless we are legally obliged to do.

There are several grounds on which D&G Travel of Marlow will store and use your data. As follows:

Contract: much of the time, our use of your data will be because of the contract between us – that is, in relation to your holiday booking. We will usually retain relevant data for up to seven years from the date the contract completes – e.g. the last day of your holiday. 

Legal obligations: we are under certain binding legal obligations, such as accounting to the government for tax and making financial records available for audit. In such cases, we are typically obliged to retain data for up to seven years from the date of transaction.

Legitimate interests: we use data to manage our operations and to make business process improvements. Our legitimate interests will not override your right to privacy.

We would like to send you information about products and services of ours and other companies within our group which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
